Definitions

Carbon emissions:

It allows us to compare the carbon emissions of different activities, products, companies, or countries. It’s usually reported in tons of emissions per unit.

Eco Rating:

It evaluates the environmental impact of the production, transportation, use and disposal of mobile phones.
Renewable materials: They are a type of bio-material managed in a way that enables continuous production without depleting the earth’s resources.

Energy Conservation Standard: They are a set of procedures and regulations that prescribe the energy performance of manufactured products, sometimes prohibiting the sale of products that are less efficient than a minimum level

Scope 1: Direct emissions that occur from sources that are controlled or owned by an organization
Scope 2: Indirect emissions associated with purchasing electricity, steam, heat, or cooling.
Scope 3: Emissions that come from business operations. They are caused by sources that are not directly owned or controlled by an organization.

Self-powered masts:

Mobile phone masts that use wind, solar, and battery power to create sustainable energy. They don’t need to be plugged directly into the power grid.

Carbon offset:

It is a trading mechanism that allows businesses to compensate for their carbon emissions by supporting projects that reduce, avoid, or remove emissions elsewhere.
